Bows have barely changed in the last two centuries, but I decided early in my making to develop an entirely new model that incorporates many of my own inventions, to offer the player a new look and a new dynamic feel in the hand while greatly simplifying the rehairing process, which is one of the most difficult routine tasks in lutherie. The result was the world's first and only heptagonal violin bow. Making seven sided bows is not a trivial matter as it requires adherence to high tolerances. Seven sided bows are much more difficult to fashion than round or octagonal bows.
